# PDFTrusted

> Free PDF tools in the browser, plus a separate developer product at https://api.pdftrusted.com.

PDFTrusted compresses, merges, splits, converts, signs, and protects PDFs. Heavy jobs run on PDFTrusted's own processing. Text stays selectable and pages keep their size. There is no claim of perfection, and there is no certificate we do not hold.

Free includes 10 everyday jobs a day and 3 advanced uses, with files up to 50 MB.
Pro includes 500 everyday jobs a day, 50 advanced uses, and up to 200 pages on OCR, conversion, and document chat.

## Privacy

Everyday tools such as merge, split, sign, protect, and image conversion run in the browser on the free plan. Free merge, split, and compress run in your browser. On Pro, a large job is sent to our server, and every Pro compress is. OCR, Office conversion, and the document chat tools always use the server. Task records last 2 hours. Stored copies are removed within 1 hour. A signature request keeps the file so the people you invite can sign, then the stored copy is deleted 30 days after the request ends. ## Developer product

https://api.pdftrusted.com is a free trial for people who want to call the tools from their own software. Sign in is required. There is no card and no paid API billing yet. Paid plans are coming. It uses the same sign-in as pdftrusted.com. Docs: https://www.pdftrusted.com/developers
