Cookie Policy
What PDFTrusted stores in your browser to run the site — and what we do not turn on without saying so.
Last updated: October 8, 2026
1. What this covers
Cookies are small files a site can store on your device. Local storage is similar browser storage used by modern web apps. This policy covers both. It sits next to our Privacy Policy.
2. Essential cookies & storage
We use essential cookies and local storage to make the Service work. Without them, sign-in, preferences, and free-use limits would break. Typical uses:
| Sign-in | A session cookie keeps you signed in. |
|---|---|
| Preferences | Language and interface choices stay in local storage when you set them. |
| Free daily uses | An anonymous counter in local storage keeps the free plan fair. |
| The host | Security and load-balancing cookies required to serve the site. |
Clearing site data may sign you out and reset local free-use counters.
3. Analytics — no cookies, no banner
We do not use analytics cookies, so there is no cookie banner to click. Instead we count visits with tools that store nothing in a cookie and never identify you across sites:
- A tab-scoped counter in session storage, which disappears the moment you close the tab. It tells us which pages and tools are used and where visitors arrive from.
- Aggregated page-speed measurements (loading time and layout shifts), so we can keep pages fast.
- Cookieless traffic numbers from our CDN, which are counted at the edge and cannot follow you to another site.
None of this identifies you, none of it is shared with advertisers, and clearing your browser data removes it. It is not required to compress, merge, or convert a PDF.
4. How to control them
You can delete cookies and site data in your browser settings, use private browsing, or block cookies entirely. Blocking essential cookies may stop login or free-use tracking from working correctly.
Browser guides differ by vendor; search your browser’s help for “clear cookies” or “site settings.”
5. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy when our storage practices change. The “Last updated” date will move when we do.
