Edit PDF lets you work on a PDF the way you work on any document, and it gives you two ways to do it. Page editing keeps every page exactly as it looks: click a line and type, and your words take the same size, colour, and weight, right where the old ones were. Around that you can add text, highlight, underline, or strike out, draw, place shapes, arrows, check marks, and crosses, add a photo, sign, white out a mistake, or pin a note. Document mode opens the whole file as one Word-style document you can type into freely. Lines rewrap as you write, paragraphs carry over to the next page, and a familiar toolbar gives you fonts, sizes, bold, italic, colour, alignment, line spacing, bullets, indents, and page breaks. Forms, tables, and two-column pages keep their exact layout, and every word on them is still yours to change. Each step can be undone, pages stay sharp when you zoom in, and everything works just as smoothly on a phone. Your file stays on your device, and the free plan covers PDFs up to 100 MB and 100 pages.

Edit PDF FAQ
Can I change the text that's already in my PDF?
Yes. Choose Edit text and click any line. Your new words pick up the size, colour, weight, and style of the original and sit in the same spot, so the page looks as if it was always written that way.
What is Document mode?
Document mode opens your whole PDF as one editable document, much like Word or Google Docs. Click anywhere and type: lines rewrap, full pages spill onto the next one, and you get fonts, sizes, bold, italic, colour, alignment, line spacing, bullets, indents, and page breaks. A page counter and word count sit at the top, and spell check works as you type.
Should I use page editing or Document mode?
Use page editing to fix a name, date, price, or a few lines, to sign, or to mark up a page, because everything else stays exactly where it is. Use Document mode when you want to rewrite paragraphs, add whole sections, or rework a letter, report, or resume.
Will my new text match the original font?
Yes, closely. The editor picks a matching serif, sans, or mono face and keeps the size, colour, bold, and italic of the line, so edits blend in. You can still change the font, size, or colour from the toolbar at any time.
Can I sign a PDF or fill in a form?
Yes. Choose Sign to draw, type, or upload your signature or initials; it stays saved so you can place it again on any page. For forms, drop a check mark or cross on each box and use Add text for names and dates.
Can I undo a change?
Yes. Undo and redo go back one step at a time in both modes, with Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y on a keyboard. Your file only changes when you download it.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The tools sit along the top with clear labels, anything you select gets its own Duplicate and Delete buttons, and a finger can type, draw, sign, and place text just like a mouse. Document mode works on a phone too.
Is Edit PDF free and private?
Yes. The free plan covers PDFs up to 100 MB and 100 pages, and your file stays on your device while you edit. Pro is there for bigger files and more jobs a day.
