Trim any PDF page in the browser

Some pages carry more paper than they need — scanner shadows down one side, a footer nobody reads, margins wider than the content itself. Crop PDF trims a page down to the part that matters. Draw the area to keep on a live preview, or press Auto-crop and let the tool find the content on every page by itself. Set exact margins in millimetres or inches when a form or a print room expects them, crop one page or the whole document in a single pass, and remove anything you changed with one tap. The file never leaves your device, so a scanned passport, a payslip, or a contract stays as private as the paper it came from.

Keep the page. Drop the rest.

Drag a box over the area to keep on a live preview, or let Auto-crop find the content on every page and trim the white space around it. Set exact margins when a form or a print room expects them, crop one page or the whole document in a single pass, then download a PDF that fits its content — nothing uploaded, nothing watermarked, no account needed.

How to crop a PDF online

  1. 1Drop your PDF into the box above, or tap Choose files to pick it from your phone or computer.
  2. 2Drag the crop box over the area you want to keep — the dimmed part will be hidden. Fine-tune with the handles or the margin fields.
  3. 3Flip on Apply to all pages if every page should get the same trim, or move page by page and crop each one differently.
  4. 4Press Crop PDF and download the result. Nothing was uploaded, so there is nothing left to clean up.

Crop PDF FAQ

Is it free to crop a PDF on PDFTrusted?

Yes. Crop PDF is included in the free daily uses, for PDFs up to 100 MB and 150 pages, with no ads and no watermark.

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is opened, previewed, and cropped entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, so a payslip or a signed contract stays on your device.

Does cropping delete the hidden parts?

Cropping hides the area outside the box — the page shows only what you kept. The removed area is not destroyed inside the file, which is also why an accidental crop can be undone in the tool before you download.

Can I crop only some pages?

Yes. By default a crop applies to the page you are looking at. Turn on Apply to all pages to give the whole document the same trim, or crop page by page with a different box for each.

How does Auto-crop know where the content is?

It renders each page and measures where the ink actually ends — text, images, and borders — then trims the empty margin around it, ignoring the blank edges a scanner adds.

Can I crop a scanned PDF?

Yes, and scans usually improve the most: dark scanner edges and wide white borders shrink away, and the remaining page fits phone screens and upload limits much better.

What is the difference between crop and resize?

Crop changes which part of the page is visible; the content itself stays the same size. To change the paper size while scaling the content with it, use the scale option in Organize PDF instead.

Will cropping affect the text or the quality?

No. Cropping only changes which part of the page is shown. Text stays selectable, links keep working, and image quality is untouched because nothing is re-encoded or re-compressed.
